I don't feel very safe going out at night. The roads are poorly constructed. But I think the public schools are cool, there are things to do with families but not a lot of variety.

Nearby Resident 19 days ago Overall Experience Report. I love Jacksonville! There is always something to do like going to the beach, to the zoo, or exploring one of the nature preserves here. There has been an issue with the crime rate in recent years. If you follow the Golden Rule, you will not have any issues with the locals. There are so many bodies of water to go here and all around Florida. I love Jacksonville because it embodies the best parts of Florida with the "small-town" feel.

Jacksonville is a young and up-and-coming city. The beaches aren't commercialized and there's community pride. The traffic is not the best. I live on the outskirts of Jacksonville near Huguenot Park. I love our neighborhood and nobody really considers us part of Jacksonville. Jacksonville is so big and diverse, it's difficult to rate the entire city. I do know there are apartments going up everywhere and it's getting overcrowded.

The schools are overcrowded and understaffed. There's a place in Jacksonville for everybody - it's very diverse.
