Once again, very pleased. I really liked to options for myself, being a pescatarian. We will dine there again. A friend recommended Uva, and he is an Italophile, is that a real word. If he rated it worthy, happy to give it a try.
Not disappointed. Great, focused wine selection. The pizza with honey clover was stupendous and subtle. The stuffed shells were great, and the tomato sauce was incredible. Like Marcella Hazan incredible. Been waiting about a year to get back to Uva Enoteca. My friend was thrilled when I suggested it. We ordered the cold roasted cauliflower salad, the sausage orecchiette and the mushroom pizza with a bottle of Pinot.
Loved everything. We're hearty eaters but there was no room for dessert that night. Nice chat with our waiter as to how things are going for them too.
Both of us were surprised how low the tab was even with a bottle of wine so we'll be back soon! You can order delivery directly from Uva Enoteca using the Order Online button. We also ordered the beet starter, which was a bowl of pickled beets with some cheese sprinkled on top. My husband liked his sausage orecchiette. The waiter was curt. One of my favorite go to neighborhood places. I found this restaurant through the Internet having never been there before.
When we pulled up outside it looked rather daunting but the food was very good. Little in the way of ambience and with a high noise level they somehow manage to create lovely Italian dishes. Shared a Margherita pizza and stuffed shells - both delicious. Nice outdoor booth setup with dividers between the booths. They turned on the heater close to our table as soon as we sat down, which was essential as it was a typical breezy late afternoon. They had very night wait staff and delicious food!
I love Uva Enoteca! We loved the heated parklet setup. The heaters kept us warm. Food was wonderful and comforting. The neighborhood vibe was an added benefit we would have missed inside. The service was top shelf. I was pleased to see one of my favorite restaurants have not only survived the pandemic so far, but the food is just as amazing as it ever was.
Always a lovely time at Uva. Best wine. I made a reservation for an outdoor table and requested a booth. Understandably, the host said booths were for parties larger than two. The booth was empty the entire time we were dining though, and as tables seemed to be reservation-only, I'm not sure why we weren't allowed there.
Dining for two consists of tables on the sidewalk without ambiance or privacy. Service was great overall- waitstaff was attentive, but I miss pre-Covid when they would tell you about the wines and dishes. Also was told we had 1. While we were waiting for our credit cards after paying and we waited minutes , the host approached and briskly informed us we had to vacate the table, as if it were our fault that the other waiter hadn't brought us our final receipts and returned our cards.
I won't be going back there again anytime soon. Hopefully, the experience will improve as people adjust to post-Covid interactions. Had a great meet up with my girlfriends here. Very safe, nice cozy outdoor spaces. This restaurant had great reviews, and looked like it had a nice covered parklet. So if you have to be outside, you will want to make a reservation with two additional friends to access the premium spots, because sitting out in the cold on the sidewalk is no fun.
To be fair, these are the accommodations that restaurants have to make during Covid, and not everybody has access to fabulous outdoor space. The vegetable appetizers we had were very good; the roasted cauliflower and the kale salad especially, but both yummy and excellent.
The two pizzas we ordered the mushroom and the burrata were undercooked, soggy, and bland. The pasta Pomodoro on the other hand was absolutely delicious. We might try again when are able to safely dine indoors, and simply focus on vegetables and pasta. Service was indifferent at best, but these are difficult times for most restaurants and employees. So, a mixed bag. Great service, awesome food. There are great options for dietary restrictions. We will for sure be back!
The food was great and the service was equally as good. Great wine selection and the dessert is what really sold me. Will definitely be back. This was our first time dining outdoors since the beginning of this pandemic, and this restaurant did a great job at keeping people safe and distanced.
The food was also very delicious. We will be back again!
